Calvin Habba, O.D.
Dr. Calvin M. Habba, O.D., originally from Waterford, MI, graduated from Waterford Kettering High School in 2018. He pursued his undergraduate studies in biology at the University of Detroit Mercy before gaining early admittance to the Michigan College of Optometry (MCO) in 2020. Dr. Habba fulfilled the requirements to earn his bachelor’s degree in Vision Science after completing his first year in optometry school.
Throughout his final year at MCO, Dr. Habba completed three externships focusing on ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, and pediatric eye care. His externship rotations included placements at the Detroit Veteran Affairs Hospital, Normandy Optical, and the Eye Institute of West Florida. |
Dr. Habba achieved his Doctorate of Optometry with honors upon graduating in 2024. He has since returned to Normandy Optical, specializing in comprehensive eye examinations, hard-to-fit contact lenses, and managing ocular conditions such as dry eye syndrome, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.
Dr. Habba maintains active memberships in professional organizations such as the American Optometric Association (AOA), Michigan Optometric Association (MOA), and Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH). Outside of his practice, Dr. Habba enjoys spending quality time with his family, kayaking, and hiking in the great outdoors.
