Leah Brunelle, O.D.
Leah Brunelle O.D. grew up in Hampton, New Hampshire. She moved to Michigan in 2013 when she began her undergraduate degree in Human Biology at Michigan State University. In 2017, she started at Ferris State University, Michigan College of Optometry. While in school, she participated in many student groups and volunteer events. She received clinical training during her last year at school at the Wyoming Michigan Veterans Affairs Hospital, the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Grand Rapids, Henry Ford OptimEyes in Troy, and here at Normandy Optical. In 2021, she graduated from Michigan College of Optometry with honors distinctions.
Dr. Brunelle has returned to Normandy Optical to practice optometry. Her interests include management of ocular disease, such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, fitting specialty contact lenses, and low-vision. She enjoys providing eye care to adults and children of all ages and she is eager to provide the most comprehensive care for you and all your friends and family.
Dr. Brunelle is an active member of the Michigan Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. In her free time, she enjoys reading and being outdoors. She loves visiting her family on the east coast whenever she can and keeps in touch with many former classmates from optometry school.
