Bret Williams, O.D.
Bret Williams O.D., is from Chesterfield, MI, and a 2012 graduate from L’Anse Creuse High-School North. He started his undergraduate studies at Macomb Community College and finished at Ferris State University. In 2016 he was accepted into the Michigan College of Optometry. After his first year of optometry school, he earned his bachelors degree in Vision Science.
During his last year of graduate school, Dr. Williams received clinical training at Henry Ford OptimEyes, Normandy Optical, the Wyoming Michigan Veterans Affairs Hospital, and the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Grand Rapids, MI. His last year of schooling provided valuable experiences with primary care, pediatrics, ocular disease, and low vision. In 2020, he graduated with honors from the Michigan College of Optometry. |
Dr. Williams has now returned to Normandy Optical to practice optometry. His interests include treating and co-managing ocular diseases such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, myopia control, and providing low-vision services and device demonstration. Dr. Williams looks forward to providing the most optimal care to you, your friends, and family.
Dr. Williams is an active member of the Michigan Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his fiancée Katherine and their cat, Leonard. When possible, they enjoy camping across the state of Michigan. Dr. Williams loves spending time with his friends and family when he is not providing patient care.
