Isabelle Daskas, O.D.
Isabelle Daskas, O.D., FAAO is from Rochester, MI. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Oakland University in 2018. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, she was accepted into the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Philadelphia, PA. During her final year of optometry school, she was able to train at private practices in North and South Carolina and the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit. During this time she gained experience managing patients with advanced dry eye, pre/post-op surgical care, and various ocular diseases.
Upon graduation from Optometry school in 2022, Dr. Daskas completed an additional year of residency specializing in Ocular Disease at the John D Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit. |
At the VA she managed complex glaucoma, advanced macular degeneration, progressive diabetic retinopathy, and uveitis, as well as co-managed surgical cases with ophthalmologists from Kresge Eye Institute. Since becoming an optometrist she completed requirements for fellowship (FAAO) through the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Daskas has now returned to private practice at Normandy Optical. Her interests include treating and managing complex ocular disease, advanced dry eye, infectious corneal disease, and myopia control.
Dr. Daskas is an active member of the Michigan Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. In her free time, she enjoys playing golf with her family in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
