John David Chrustowski, O.D.
John David Chrustowski, O.D., is from Warren, MI and a 2011 graduate of De La Salle Collegiate High School. He went on to study biology at Ferris State University. Prior to the completion of his bachelor’s degree, Dr. Chrustowski was accepted to the Michigan College of Optometry (MCO) through their early admittance program. While in optometry school, he completed the requirements to achieve a bachelor’s degree in Vision Science (2015). During his final year at MCO, Dr. Chrustowski was able to participate in three optometric rotations: he studied specialty contact lenses at Normandy Optical, primary care and pediatric optometry at Henry Ford OptimEyes, and ocular disease at the Battle Creek Veteran Affairs hospital.
Dr. John obtained his Doctorate of Optometry in 2018, upon graduating from the Michigan College of Optometry with high honors. |
Now that Dr. Chrustowski has returned to Normandy Optical, he enjoys specialty contact lens fits, treating dry eye, and the management of ocular diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. He enjoys seeing patients of all ages and is looking forward to treating the families of the greater Detroit area.
Dr. Chrustowski is an active member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Optometric Association and the Michigan Optometric Association. When Dr. Chrustowski is not working, he enjoys testing out his skills in the kitchen, watching movies, and spending time with his family. During the summer, you can often find him outside kayaking, golfing, or cruising around in his Jeep Wrangler.
